Privacy notice
Last updated: 19 June 2026
Who we are
HopDesk is operated by HopDesk Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 15063595. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can reach us by replying to any email we send you, or through the contact options on this site.
What we collect when you join the community
When you sign up for early access, we collect your email address, whether your interest is as a worker or a venue, and a record that you gave consent, including the exact wording you agreed to and when. We do not ask for any more than that.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your details to keep you updated about the HopDesk community and our launch, roughly monthly. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time, and doing so does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We use a small number of trusted processors to run the service: a database and hosting provider that stores the sign-up, an email provider that delivers our messages, and our website host. Each acts only on our instructions.
Where your data is held
Our database is hosted in the United Kingdom. Where a processor handles data outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep your community sign-up until you ask us to remove it or withdraw your consent, after which we delete your details. If you later create a HopDesk account, that account is covered by the privacy information shown in the app.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, reply to one of our emails or contact us through this site. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies and analytics
This site uses privacy-respecting analytics that do not set advertising cookies and do not track you across other sites. We use it only to understand how the site is used in aggregate.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as HopDesk grows. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and we will tell you about significant changes if they affect how we use your data.
